Pending charges explained
A pending charge is a temporary authorization hold. It is not a final deduction and is only confirmed once the airline approves the booking.
When you see a pending charge from Yellsy on your bank statement, it means an authorization hold has been placed on your card. This is standard practice for travel bookings and does not mean money has left your account.
Pending vs. confirmed charge
- •Pending: funds are reserved but not debited — your available balance may decrease
- •Confirmed: the booking is ticketed and the charge is final
- •Released: the hold is cancelled and funds return to your available balance (1 to 5 business days)
When does pending become confirmed?
The pending charge settles as a confirmed charge the moment your airline ticket is issued. This typically happens within 30 minutes to 4 hours of the authorization being placed.
If you see a pending charge but have not received a booking confirmation email, the booking may still be processing. Check your dashboard or contact support if it has been more than 6 hours.
