📚 Getting Started
Why was my card authorized?
An authorization hold appeared on your card because Yellsy detected a fare matching your target and initiated the booking process.
If you see a pending charge or authorization from Yellsy on your bank statement, it means a fare matching your price alert was detected and the booking process was started on your behalf.
Authorization vs. charge
- •An authorization hold reserves funds but does not debit your account
- •It becomes a confirmed charge only after the airline issues a ticket
- •If the booking cannot be completed, the hold is released — no money leaves your account
- •Banks typically show released holds as pending for 1 to 5 business days
I did not expect this hold
This means a fare on one of your active price alerts reached your target budget. You can review which alert triggered the booking in your dashboard under Active Bookings or Alerts.
If you believe an authorization was placed in error, contact us at contact@yellsy.com with your booking reference and we will investigate within 2 hours.
